Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn, an American actress. Her best-known role is Skyler White on the AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 for Outstanding supporting actress in the Drama Series. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. The actress was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in the Preparatory School she attended before her family moved to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. The theatre school she attended was Northwestern University, and spent one semester at British American Drama Academy. Anna had a brief stint in Chicago the theatre before moving to television and film. Anna's first big character was Arden, in Down the Shore. She was in 29 episodes. Anna continued to appear in movies and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late 1990's. Anna was later placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. The role was played by Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler was the character she played in Breaking Bad. She also starred in the Deadwood film as well as Sully. Gunn was also on the stage starring in the David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She also had a role in the show Numbered Day, which is a podcast consisting of four audio plays. Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and their eventual break up echoes final years in Walter White's personal life.
